Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Erwin Pentz. I have studied Computer Science and I am working as a freelancer. Since 2000 I am developing complex software systems based on JAVA, Open Source (including JBoss EAP, Spring Framework, Apache CXF, ...), Eclipse, Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Jira Agile, Maven, Scrum and many more.

Since a couple of years, I have moved to IT-Security and Cloud-Computing, based upon my extensive knowledge and experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Thanks to the Identity Management Institute I am now another happy Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP)® and ready for "Identity & Access Management" (IAM), since I am also experienced with some IAM protocols / concepts / tools, e.g. LDAP, SAML, OAUTH2, OIDC / SSO, MFA / AWS IAM, AWS Cognito, Keycloak. 😊

As an agile IT multi-specialist and freelancer
I always want to make a significant contribution to the success in exciting customer projects,
so that there is always a win-win situation for both sides.

Due to my current extensive training, I recommend myself as a security champion. In the interface between the SOC team and the DEV team, I support the move to "shift-left", as I speak and understand the language of both teams.
